Marlenka

Marlenka is a honey cake that originated in Frýdek-Místek. The recipe, inspired by a traditional family dessert, was brought to the Czech Republic by Armenian entrepreneur Georg Avetisjan. The honey cake was named after his mother and daughter, both of whom are called Marlenka.

Within a few years, the small family project became a phenomenon – today, Marlenka is produced in Frýdek-Místek and exported to dozens of countries around the world. Thanks to its unique taste, delicate honey layers, and caramel cream, it has become one of the most famous sweet products of the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Carefully selected, top-quality ingredients are used to make this honey delicacy. As a result, MARLENKA® honey cakes contain no preservatives or chemical colorants and are the only cakes in the Czech Republic to carry the NATURAL PRODUCT label.
