We focus on traditional Czech cuisine in a very modern way – a fusion of great flavours and exceptional visuals, an experience not only for the palate but also for the eyes.
Our motto “nice, Czech, modern” clearly describes our vision. To cook traditional Czech food that is tasty, beautiful, made from local ingredients, in a modern setting.
Harenda was established in April 2022 by the merger of owner Honza Navrátil and chef Adam Cakl. Lucie Harazimová took the place under her wing, and we got to work. The idea was clear from the beginning. To open a business in Ostrava that was missing here. A modern Czech kitchen set in a historic mining building, which already served as a canteen during the mine’s operation.
